Engineering Research Center of Advanced Ferroelectric Functional Materials (hereinafter referred as AFFM), as the university-level subsidiarylaboratory of Baoji University of Arts and Sciences, is located in Baoji City of Shaanxi Province. Under the authorization of University Party Committee, AFFMwas newly prepared in 2015, which has been granted asResearch & Development Base of Ferromagnetism Devices,Electronic Devices, Advanced Functional Materials and FerroelectricFunctional Materials in Shaanxi Provinceand also been awarded the membership of Baoji Vocational Education Group of Advanced Materials & New Energy.

The setting goals of AFFM are, firstly, to integrate the R & D capability, achieveresource sharing, and promote the development of material discipline in Baoji University of Arts and Sciences. Secondly, to improve the scientific research level and cultivate specializedoutstandinggraduates. Thirdly, to adapt tothesociety needsfor advanced materialsand serve the local economic development. Fourthly, to promote the cooperation betweenBaoji University of Arts and Sciences and other universities or enterprises. Finally, to establish the material disciplinepost- doctoralstation and endeavor to making AFFM to a preeminentresearch center withfine competitivenesscapacity at nationallevel.

Based on the support from College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, College ofPhysics and Optoelectronic Technology and Key Laboratory of Phytochemistry of Shaanxi Province, the AFFM owns the finest research conditions in Baoji and operated by a professional technology team in certainscale. AFFMcovers an area of 300 m2, holding an annualfunding of 2 million yuan and with atotal assets of 20 million yuan. There are more than 30 sets of valuableprocessingequipments and testing instruments for AFFM researchers, such as X-Ray Powder Diffractometer, Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy, Fourier Infrared Spectrometer, Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, Ultraviolet Spectrophotometer, Fluorospectro Photometer, Steady/Transient Fluorescence Spectrometer, Direct-Reading Spectrometer, Differential Scanning Calorimeter, Thermal Analysis System, Simultaneous Thermal Analyzer, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometer, Laser Particle Size Analyzer, and so on.

The conventional and specializedequipments, such as High Temperature Polarization Device, d33Piezoelectric Tester, Spin Coater, Ceramic Polisher, Ball Grinding Mill, High Temperature Furnace, etc., also belong to property of the AFFM.
